Boiling-condensation heat transfer and flow characteristics in ultrathin limited enclosed space based on numerical simulation and visualization experiment

Boiling-condensation heat transfer in ultrathin flat pipes are complicated and difficult to observe. In this study, a visualization experiment simulation analysis an limited enclosed space were carried out. Width of the ul?trathin was 1 mm, with anhydrous ethanol as working medium. The oriented vertically heating section on bottom cooling top. Flow characteristics photographed using high speed camera through quartz cover. boiling-condensation fluid-flow simulated. Effective coefficient calculated based experimental data varied from 1.0-1.1 W/?C, while that inner wall obtained by within range 1.068-1.076 W/?C. maximum error 2.9%, which verified reliability results. By analyzing pressure change condensation section, it found released changed periodically, because growth bursting bubbles falling medium due gravity. Restricted thickness, produced boiling grew irregular shapes, promoting upward movement rest liquid medium, film formed at heated surface for evaporation transfer, enhanced capacity section.
